OUGHTIBRIDGE GALA 2008 - RESULTS OF MARQUEE COMPETITIONS

GRAND GALA DRAW 2008 RESULTS

Gala Day is Saturday 28th June, here's some more information about the day.

Between 10am and 11am please bring your  competition entries to the main marquee, the competitions for this year are:

• Adult baking: Carrot Cake or Egg Custard in a crust
• Children's baking: Jam Tarts or Chocolate Krispie Cakes
• Photography: The day it rained or my best memory
  
• Children's Arts: A piece of art in the style of a famous artist, eg Monet by Me!
• The best Single Rose

All entries need to be clearly marked with your name and address

Cake donations can be brought to the catering stall from 10am onwards

The Gala parade begins at 12.30 at the top of Birks Wood Drive, while the Oughtibridge Brass Band will be playing in the park from 12.30pm until 1pm.

The Grand Opening will be at 1pm once the parade has arrived at the park. During the course of the afternoon there will be a range of entertainment including Rocket 88, the New Orleans Strollers, Flash the children's entertainer, Scottish Sword Dancing, Branching Out Dance Group, Pom Pom Pirates, Dog Aglity, the Tug O' War, a wide range of stalls and much much more.

Refreshments will be served throughout the day with a range of hot and cold drinks and snacks.

The 2008 Sports Night was on the 18th June and despite the cool damp evening was a great success. We will post photographs along with the Chase results shortly. Thanks to all those whoe helped and participated!

As you will remember, this time last year was the week of the Sheffield Flood so we are now hoping for a fantastic sunny and dry day. But what ever the weather, please come and support the Oughtibridge Gala and have a great day out!
