The Gala Sports Night is on the third Wednesday in June starting at 6.30pm, and is fun for any child who likes to race and a serious competition for any running enthusiasts.  From children just starting primary school to children just leaving primary school there are competetive events with medals for 1st 2nd and 3rd.

For the running enthusiast there is the Gala Chase which is approximatly a 3 and a quarter mile run up to and around Wharncliffe Woods. This is a popular event that attracts over 40 competitors.  With lots of categories and prizes for the best in each one, almost anyone has a chance of winning something!
